Ceramic Vermiculite Hand Gloves

Specialized high-temperature PPE designed to withstand extreme heat, typically ranging from 1000°C to 1200°C. Primarily used in foundries, steel mills and glass manufacturing to protect against molten metal splashes, sparks and intense thermal radiation.

Construction

Material specifications

Outer Fabric	Vermiculite-coated texturized ceramic fibre cloth.
Reinforcement	Often reinforced with Stainless Steel (SS) wire or fiberglass yarn for high tensile strength.
Inner Lining	Multi-layer construction typically featuring a woolen or cotton fleece liner for thermal insulation and comfort.
Stitching	Seams sewn with heat-resistant Para-Aramid (Kevlar) thread to prevent burning at the seams.

Performance

Ratings & dimensions

Temperature Resistance: Rated for continuous working temperatures of approx. 1000°C to 1050°C, with short-term peak exposure up to 1260°C (2300°F).
Thermal Conductivity: Extremely low — allows handling of hot objects while keeping the interior temperature safe.
Abrasion & Chemical Resistance: The vermiculite coating significantly enhances durability against rough surfaces and resists most industrial chemicals, acids and alkalis.
Thickness: 2mm to 4mm for balanced dexterity and insulation.
Standard Lengths: Available in 12", 14", 18" and 21" gauntlet styles for extended forearm protection.

Safety Note: While these gloves withstand extreme heat, they are often intended for short-duration contact at peak temperatures. Always verify the specific "Threshold Time" before handling molten materials.
